On macOS and BSD at least (I haven't checked GNU), you can make a replayable script. Record with script -r [filename] and then play back with script

On macOS and BSD at least (I haven't checked GNU), you can make a replayable script.
Record with
script -r [filename]
and then play back with
script -p [filename]
which creates a pretty cool effect.
