- narrator 7y agoThere are certain topics where the standard of debate is ridicule and name calling. Central banking is one of them. Usually that's a sign that there's some reason people don't want to talk about it. It's the kind of topic you bring up and the authority figure in the room says, "You know we don't talk about that topic anymore."
- someguydave 7y agoYes, this is true. To my way of thinking, the real fight over central banking is the massive wealth granted to the government via seigniorage. That wealth belongs to the sovereign, which in a republic like the US is the people. However, the people never directly benefit from that wealth. I think people understand this underlying truth and are angry about so much usurpation and thievery done in their name. Meanwhile, it benefits the recipients of that wealth and power to remain silent and mock their adversaries, because they can only stand to lose their privilege.
