We got 900 applications on our Developer Position
- davidjnelson 7y agoThis works in reverse too. If you have 900 recruiter emails you can send them a typeform/wufoo with questions relating to what you care about in a job.
- gmontard 7y agoHiring works both ways for sure!
- rland 7y agoIt's really nice of them to send rejection emails.
- cfabianski 7y agoI think it’s the least we can do!
- bjourne 7y agoThe myth of the software developer shortage: BUSTED!
- ossworkerrights 7y agoThere certainly is no shortage of remote applicants.
- cfabianski 7y agoThere is a shortage of remote jobs though :-)
- Maultasche 7y agoI wasn't surprised that they got so many applicants, but I was surprised they got so many quality applicants. I guess it was because it was a remote position with a not too many restrictions about where the candidate had to live, so the applicant pool was much larger.
- gmontard 7y agoWe think the remote culture we set combined with the natural fit of the product for developers were two key drivers of success here.
- NetOpWibby 7y agoI was definitely one of the 900.
- gmontard 7y agoThank you! I hope we’ll get a chance to talk next time.
- NetOpWibby 7y agoSame, y'all seem like an awesome bunch.
- cfabianski 7y agoThank you. Please don’t hesitate to apply again in the future
- NetOpWibby 7y agoAbsolutely!
- spo81rty 7y agoEvery developer around the world in a poorer country wants to work remotely for a company who pays much higher wages. Easy to get thousands of applicants for these remote jobs.
- cfabianski 7y agoIt doesn’t change the overall quality of the applicants and yet we received more than half from the US :-)
- corporateslave5 7y agoThe entry level software job market in the USA is completely saturated, not to mention the scores of talented developers from over seas waiting to come here
- cfabianski 7y agoIt’s true but we did receive some applications from the US ;-)
- suyash 7y agoThere are tons of junior developers out there, bet you won't have the same turnout for senior level engineers.
