Polite and silent is good, but it is awful if you end up in a smoking carriage, they are horrible. I think they will be going away soon though.

- _-___________-_ 7y agoAll high-speed trains in China are entirely non-smoking. Once or twice I've seen someone light up near the doors, away from the seats, and it's been dealt with fairly harshly by the train staff.
