worldwide? really?? Where I live (big urban metropolis) it's completely normal and commonplace for at least 1 or 2 cars (and sometimes up to 3 or 4 cars) to pass through after the signal turned red. It seems drivers consider the yellow light to be pretty much the same as the green light. the worse the intersection, the more it happens.
