Using a sport as a platform for protest is very common and has been a positive for the world.
- Fuzzwah 7y agoThe point wasn't that sport isn't used for protest, but how the people who use their sporting platform to protest are then treated. The Australian runner on the podium with John Carlos and Tommie Smith in 1968: > Norman was not selected for the 1972 Summer Olympics, and retired from the sport soon after.
