Many of the traffic lights in Boston seem to have significantly shorter yellow light durations than the rest of Massachusetts--roughly a single second. It's just one of the many factors that makes driving in Boston feel like a constant battle for survival. Meanwhile, the rest of the world apparently considers 3 seconds to be too short. I'd be quite delighted if Boston followed suit.
