This is bad PR.
If it's not true, shouldn't it be deleted?
- neilc 18y agoStories that aren't 100% accurate are on YC fairly regularly; deleting just the inaccurate stories that affect YC companies would be quite unfair.
- gscott 18y agoI agree, deleting the story would be bad PR in itself. Better to correct any misconceptions because if one person is confused then many people are.
- jackchristopher 18y agoWe're probably having the only public discussion of the issue. It should be kept, you're right. I'm still getting a feel for the culture here.
- theproductguy 18y agoI would recommend taking the time to read the article. If you did read it you would find the entire post to be 100% accurate.
- terpua 18y agoI think it's the title here that PG is alluding to.
- pg 18y ago"It has almost been a year without anything new from this start-up and no signs of life from within the company." http://mashable.com/2008/05/27/zecter-file-sharing/ http://mashable.com/2008/05/27/zecter-file-sharing/
- theproductguy 18y agoThat article discussing the new company to which the founders of Versionate have gone. That is _not_ an article about Versionate, the company, nor their product. On the Internet, if you do nothing for your product, say nothing about the product or company for almost a year, that is effectively a dead company.
- pg 18y agoThat article discussing the new company to which the founders of Versionate have gone. Wrong. It's the same company. They just launched a new product called Zecter.
