- Locke1689 16y agoPlaying semantics isn't important. Webkit is a fork of KHTML and Apple (and now Google) did most of the work to get it where it is today. LLVM was a research project whose author went to Apple to turn it into an actual product. Clang, meanwhile, was indeed developed and open sourced by Apple.
