Not even that -- make a group for your business or product or band or political group, get people to sign up, and see how far free amplification goes.
- mtgx 7y agoIt's all pay to play at this point. Even if you've already paid to get a strong following you now have to pay again to reach them, in perpetuity.
- dredmorbius 7y agoFB's free amplification benefits FB. Or those who've figured out how to manipulate it to their own ends. Paid amplification is FB's business model for the rest.
- dheera 7y agoAlso, not to mention their amplification is heavily biased in favor of content uploaded to FB. Anything that contains external links is automatically demoted, which means that among other things, photographers and video creators have an edge over bloggers, for example. This also means that a friend posting a link to their blog article about an assault encounter is much less likely to appear in my FB feed than someone's picture hating on pineapple pizza. Which is sad.
