This was a pretty good article, I’m surprised it came from the History channel. I guess there’s a big difference between the TV channel and their online presence.
The thing that seems crazy to me is that so many of these people believed it was ok as a Christian to kill so many people. I know killing has happened for thousands of years in the name of Christianity but it just goes to show how many Christians are Christian in name only (not much different today, I’m sure).

- RickJWagner 7y agoI'm a Christian, I think you misunderstand us. My church sends people out go dig wells, build medical clinics, supply aid after storms, etc. Last weekend we had an outreach program, my family helped paint an at-risk pregnancy clinic. Like the kooky Oklahoma church we sometimes see in the news, there are a very few that are just plain crazy. But I've never met anyone even close to that crazy in several decades of church-going in several states. Meet a couple of real ones. Talk to them. If it suits you, join them on a few outreach programs. I think you'll change your mind.
- marsrover 7y agoI don’t misunderstand you, I’m also a Christian. But I’m also critical of how I have seen other Christians act. My words aren’t a slight against all Christians because I know real ones are out there. But I also am not only referring the to the nut jobs you see in the news. I’m referring to for profit pastors and politicians. There are many who claim they’re Christian but are not. “Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.“ (Lot of quotes from me today, lol)
