This ”innovation is a team sport” thing seems hugely important to a lot of people. Why is that? Most of the innovation I find really inspiring and valuable is more of the “lone genius” kind. I also really like the “give credit where credit is due” creed of open source and scientific research, and to me that sort of requires that you can trace innovation back to individuals.
