I love coaching smart junior engineers, and the first thing I teach them is using Git properly and the importance of good commit messages! :) The problem is not someone not knowing how important it is but want to learn. The problem is the people with this kind of (lazy?) attitude NOT WILLING to do what is absolutely necessary in the long term.
