Ask HN: Have you worked with EDI software?

Does anyone here work with EDI [0] and/or have experience setting up an EDI server for a physical goods business? I'd like to understand more and see if it's worth implementing for our business. I have not been able to find good resources on EDI online from a developer perspective. [0] https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Electronic_data_interchange
