Go ahead and call me bigot, this is the most ludicrous conflict I've ever seen. The fact that someone can be fired for "misgendering" is just beyond belief. Look, people all over the world are living in poverty, starving, dying, there are wars, we're facing climate change and yet in the west we're wasting out time over imaginary issues rather than tackling the real problems.

- DoreenMichele 7y agoliving in poverty, starving, dying Trans individuals are at high risk of severe poverty, including homelessness, plus early death due to suicide or murder. Heinous crimes don't typically begin with violent assault. They begin eith treating people with disrespect on a routine basis and normalizing the idea that these people are not deserving of the same respect as people of privilege. One of the most effective ways to combat a lot of that is to insist on normalizing the idea that they deserve equal respect in social interactions.
