- vardump 7y agoHow would you form strings by adding 'char' type values together? This is not about concatenation operation, we're talking about C/C++. They do not have syntactic sugar concat for chars. (In C++, you of course have operator overloading, that's how std::string concat sugar works.) '1' + '1' == 'b'. Because 49 + 49 == 98. ASCII '1' == 49, and 'b' == 98.
