I agree the OS doesn't know what the app is doing with it's tabs/windows but the OS could mandate that it tell the OS a list of things the user should be able to switch to and design the API in such a way that we'd get a LRU behavior. I can dream haha. Just tried turning on tab support in Witch but AFAIK it can't do LRU so it's not helpful (T_T)
