I think this came up months ago and it was clarified it was just a mistake, not an actually policy. Google didn't actually ban educational videos, but people drew conclusions from Twitter and assumed the worst against reason. Reddit comments seems to confirm that this is just fear mongering at this point, and the OP should know by now what happened.
