Yes, but AlphaGo can't be used as a metaphor for a lot of the algorithms/automated trading strategies which were implemented based on research done by people, and carried out by computers. AlphaGo only trained against itself.
- sgt101 7y agoAnd Alphago only does training when it's asked to by Deepminds programmers. It didn't spontaneously appear and start playing by itself.
- unforeseen9991 7y agoThe point is that almost all algo's that are actually deployed and making 99%+ of these trades are not AI / ML based. So reference to AlphaGo doesn't make sense here.
