What bothers me about autonomous-driving software is that while you might argue that drivers are free to take the risk, I as a pedestrian (or another driver) did not sign up for the risk. There is an entirely new set of failure modes that we are not familiar with, and particularly as a pedestrian, it worries me greatly.
