I organize hack days all over the globe and have to deal with lots of different types of laptops from virtually all manufacturers. Apple laptops (even old ones going back to the mid-2000s) virtually never have an issue connecting to a projector as long as you have the right adapter (my gear bag has like 15, but most of those aren’t for Apple laptops, I think I primarily use ~3 for them). I certainly can’t say that for Windows (admittedly mostly due to shitty laptop hardware, not Windows’ fault directly), let alone Linux.
