I'm not sure if it is related, but going from Linux kernel 5.2 to 5.3 on Arch makes my laptop constantly spin the fans, and it runs considerably more hot. I tried upgrading, and downgrading a few times, but 5.2 results in a much cooler laptop for me, so I've disabled kernel update for now.
