My parents live a half kilometer from the nearest temple and during festival seasons (which is 1/4 the year), they are woken up at 5am by loud religious music played at the temple at 100+ dB. And this isn't some ancient religious hymn, it's religious lyrics set to pop music / bollywood tunes mixed by some 2nd tier recording artist.
