I actually think something like https://www.manyver.se https://www.manyver.se is a better example because it uses so many different ways to get information out. Pubs and rooms over the clear net. Bluetooth, direct p2p, same network connections, etc. I think the future of p2p is utilizing not just one protocol but many of them.
