My fundamental issue is simple. Money, who owns it and how it moves around, is fundamental to our society. I don't want that power owned by a company who might decide one day, without warning or reason, to close my account.
- buboard 7y agoYou can take a company to court, but not a government. Imagine being a legitimate venezuelan businessman with an account in the US for example. Money is sort-of fundamental (it's one tool), and that's more so because today's fiat money is powered by guns. In the past, europe would have a multitude of coins being used concurrently with some of them dominating like the Florin. Its a recent development that governments crack down on the money that people use.
