- justhisonce 7y agoWow. It's always fascinating to contemplate the serendipity of what, how, & when items wind up here, but thank you for posting this, best thing I read all week. It jogged my memory as I must have read some excerpt or review or preview of her book The Recovering when it came out last year, and then read the book itself. She's a fantastic author and chronicler. Seven years, 10 months, & 21 days sober myself. One day at a time. Also for those wondering: it does get easier. But you can't get complacent about it.
