I came here to say this. Seems like an intuitive conclusion. OTOH, intuition is sometimes wrong. It should be a pretty simple study to do. Just make sure to get enough people involved. Then correlate amount of fasting with the incidence of cancer over some period of time. I guess the duration of the study would be the only impediment.
