Christer Ericson's book "Real-time Collision Detection" covers all this and much, much more in a very readable (IMO) fashion. The companion website for the book is at http://realtimecollisiondetection.net/ http://realtimecollisiondetection.net/ and the blog on that site can be just as invaluable a source of information as the book itself.
- maryrosecook 16y agoOh wow, I hadn't heard of that. Thanks a lot.
- fuzzythinker 16y agoYes, that's a very nice book. I built a very rudimentary 2D physics engine in javascript based on it. Eberly's Game Physics is another nice book as well. http://www.amazon.com/Game-Physics-Second-David-Eberly/dp/0123749034 http://www.amazon.com/Game-Physics-Second-David-Eberly/dp/01...
