But they fail to grasp the absolute reality of their chart which is that it can not grow exponentially. It is guaranteed to remain near constant with bounds much less than one order of magnitude. As any anthropologist will tell you, fertility, mortality and migration are the determinants of population growth and decline. They are well understood metrics and processes that surround them. And none of them appear exponential for anything more than a tiny brief period of time. And yes, this blog post is absurdly creepy. This is why morticians don't blog.
