The mayor, Anne Hidalgo, has said she wants Paris to be a place "where you can let go of your child’s hand." I think that's beautiful. People sacrifice so much freedom to allow cars to dominate their space.
- TulliusCicero 7y agoThat's a nice way to put it. Once you have a toddler and you're walking around on a street with them, you realize that cars represent DRASTICALLY more imminent, lethal danger to your kid than basically anything else around.
