I have ongoing medical services and a lot of smaller places have archaic billing systems so I regularly write checks. When I call a plumber or electrician I often end up writing a check. I'll still send a check if there's a fee to pay online or via credit card (like DMV or property taxes). I find it a bit silly and wish there were other options. My co-workers in other countries find it very backwards, too.
