  There are plenty of those, though, and most others seem to make both getting started and doing practical things a lot easier.

    Its actually very easy to get started with Haskell. Just install the Haskell platform and you have the environment.

      I don't mean installing it, I mean learning the language as a beginner (already a programmer). I've had a couple of goes at it in years past, without success.

        If you are into books, I recommend http://haskellbook.com/ http://haskellbook.com/ After reading it, the language just clicked with me, although it is for complete beginners, it is a great read nonetheless. Doing practical stuff like webdev, apps etc is a bit trickier, partly because Haskell is not the first language of choice for these kinds of projects, and thus lacks much needed documentation for starting up and best practices in those spheres.
