This is a truly hard problem.
I read somewhere (citation needed) that if truly race-blind admissions were used in the UC system, they'd have 98% Asian students.
(As a dead white male, that's amusing. Just shows how culture affects outcomes.)
- Glyptodon 7y agoDoes this mean 98% of the students meeting guaranteed UC admission thresholds are Asian or is that something California did away with? (IE ~98% of the top 9% however that's defined I think.)
- CallOfTheWilde 7y agoThis only applies to the "least elite" UC schools (Merced and Riverside, or perhaps just Merced at this point).
