I would say: “Without rich real-time feedback, it’s like trying to work in oven mittens”. The human brain is absurdly plastic. Have you seen someone skateboard? I think good auditory feedback(1) is probably plenty for excellent hand control. Not “intuitive” but learnable. Visual feedback could supplement. (1) I.e. a full multidimensional synthesizer model, no wave files. Maybe 10 dimensions-ish to start.
