I think the whole idea is a place to discuss ideas that are “heretical” by modern left wing “cancel culture” standards.
- Chris2048 7y agoI think the opposite is True - none of these topics trigger cancel culture, and I can't see anything that protects speakers anyway.
- tempsy 7y agoHow so? Drag culture and sex/gender are among the most triggering of topics.
- pjc50 7y agoWhat do you mean by "triggering" here?
- tempsy 7y ago"Triggering" is the outrage caused by voicing an unpopular opinion, usually one that is counter to modern socially liberal views.
- Chris2048 7y agoTrue, but "sex" is very unspecific, it's not really a topic. And I doubt a talk on "drag culture" will be titled "why drag culture is is bad/wrong".
- SideburnsOfDoom 7y ago> “heretical” by modern left wing “cancel culture” standards. So it will be the usual modern alt-right people pushing the same bad old ideas in new disguises then.
- noobermin 7y agoMoreover, the right wing have podcasts, conferences, etc.
