No, I am not. But what proof do you have Minsky had sex with a minor? I didn't see it. I think Stallman didn't see it.

- op00to 7y agoWho needs proof about Minsky? RMS said he thinks the children couldn’t be sexually assaulted because they wanted it. You’re defending this creep? Do you agree that it’s not kiddie rape if the kids don’t complain?

- meerita 7y ago> Who needs proof… You need proof to accuse someone of a crime. He didn't mention "a child". He said, quotes: "We can imagine many scenarios, but the most plausible scenario is that she presented herself to him as entirely willing.". He never mentions his old friend had sex with minors. He only points out is not clear the only scenario was a) a minor, b) using force.
- miracle2k 7y agoHe did not say that.
- pflenker 7y agoDid you read the article? Because it makes clear that this is not what RMS said, providing the quote from the mail in question.
- Kbelicius 7y ago> RMS said he thinks the children couldn’t be sexually assaulted because they wanted it. Why are you lying?

- bjoli 7y agoYou are trying to quote an old note of his. People don't realise that and think you are quoting the leaked email. Quoting ars (can't be bothered to find the note), he wrote: "I think it is morally absurd to define 'rape' in a way that depends on minor details such as which country it was in or whether the victim was 18 years old or 17". He had similar writings about statutory rape from the same time iirc. I don't think the quote above is entirely disagreeable, especially considering the weird court cases that has arisen from that legislation.
