I. Don't. Care.
The way I see it is that if someone's Tesla crashed into my car in the parking lot then as far as I am concerned it is 100% the fault of the owner and the owner should compensate me 100%.
The fact that it wasn't technically their fault but instead it was bad software matters nil to me. To me the only person I interacted with is the Tesla owner, and that's who I will put blame on. I don't care if the owner is able to defer blame to someone else. They can do that, but I want "mine" from the owner.

Well them and the DOT for allowing this experiment to be carried out on public roads. Meanwhile Google still asks me what a truck on a hill looks like via captcha's... oh yeah this self driving tech is ready to go!
- Erlich_Bachman 7y agoWhat part or letter of the word "beta" don't you understand? Can't you just not use the functionality until the company says that it is complete? There is plenty of other functionality in a Tesla car, why not use that?
- icebraining 7y agoconsolasfont is talking from the POV of the non-Tesla owner who got hit by a Tesla.
- akerl_ 7y agoThe comment you’re replying to is talking about their non-Tesla being hit by a Tesla operated by somebody else. How do we force other drivers to not use this feature? What if it wasn’t released until it’s less likely to collide with other people’s property
