The energy cost of recycling aluminum might be high, but it's much lower (and cheaper) than refining new aluminum.
- pfdietz 7y agoHowever, recycled aluminum will come contaminated with possibly unpredictable amounts of alloying elements (magnesium, silicon, copper, zinc, manganese).
