The totalitarian state is much less likely to actually make the trains run on time than to create an environment where you wouldn't dare to complain about the fact that they aren't.
- mrkstu 7y agoSmall geography/city states seem to be able to pull this off with more frequency. Singapore/Dubai both seem to function extremely smoothly despite the less than stellar political freedom.
