That's fair enough I guess, I took your comment to mean respond to verbal commands >Lots of people communicate with octapuses. Just as my dog and i can converse (ie "do you want food or to go out?") No point in arguing but not sure how teaching a Octopus to push a button (that happens to take a picture) to be communication. And sure I dive and have interacted with Octopi, but I don't go around saying I communicate with Octopi, the same way I wouldn't say I communicate with monkeys if they interact with me by throwing their shit at me...but I get your gist.
