Well, why would I want a partner with the same interests? To share one or two, great. But I can learn much more from a person that is very different compared to me.
This is why I think this clustering based on interests was always bullshit on dating sites. And this is why people use Tinder now.
- balabaster 7y agoI think Google is probably able to determine based on personality profiles created from our searches who we're most likely to mesh well with... whether that's based on interest or personality profile, who knows. It would be an interesting experiment.
- mrguyorama 7y agoGoogle can't even figure out that when I search for something in maps I probably want locations that are close to me and not across the country
