i like the part where he targets billionaires because hes exempt as a millionaire
from my fav bernie bro "tfw he's like 90 and has written successful books and had a government salary for like 40 years with a pension so if he wasn't a millionaire there'd be a problem no?"
- pwinnski 7y agoInterestingly, he became a millionaire after running for president last time around, which says something about our political process. Not something good, I think.
- bb88 7y agoIf you are going to run for president, you need some sort of residual income to make up for the shortfall of not having a job. Because not only do you not necessarily have a job, your family may not have health insurance either. The fact that you're running for president doesn't legally prevent you from selling and profiting off a book you wrote. (Nor should it really). I found this article in 2012 about Barack Obama. He got a $1.9 million advance for "The Audacity of Hope." https://www.yahoo.com/news/how-barack-obama-made-his-fortune.html https://www.yahoo.com/news/how-barack-obama-made-his-fortune...
