I bought a Macbook Pro in 2009 and used it until 2017 when I switched to a T470. Haven't regretted it one second. Debian works flawlessly, as does OpenBSD.
- devmunchies 7y agoI was considering getting a Thinkpad and running Debian or Manjaro to replace my MBP. I know historically thinkpads have been good machines, but do the new X or T series laptops still live up to the reputation?
- tpfour 7y agoI have a T470 and I love it. Some say the keyboards aren't what they used to be, but overall, I absolutely love the machine. While I think it looks good, I consider it a tool, not a fashion statement. I just need it to work, all the time, and have a great keyboard. It has everything I personally need.
