Is the current lack of support in WebM for mobile devices really an issue? I know the carriers would love you to burn through your monthly data allowance as fast as possible but my understanding is that generally (with the exception of South Korea and Japan) there was little interest in viewing video on mobile devices. I tihnk that is likely to change but it will not be hampered by the poor support in current generation hardware.
