for one thing, I don't mind ads in podcasts since they're usually relevant and use no tracking. Ads like those, are a pass. What I hate are the intrusive ads on the web & mobile that want to track the color of your underwear: looking at your fb. & I think the path to a sustainable open web is having a small dose of non intrusive ads e.g just a static banner for a sponsor on a site. no tracking or maybe coupon codes.
