I selected a few parenting books which didn't sound complete shit and started reading. Now mind you, one of the books was so bad I could not finish. One of the books was too old to have any actionable information and later turned out the writer thought Asperger's are children with not enough love received(1960ish book...) And the one was simply so out of my personal feelings of what I consider a good parent I stopped reading. BUT. All these books helped me formulate my own viewpoint of the subject and tackled problems I didn't know I will meet. It all helped me imagine how a good parent would behave. So I would recommend the same route (hopefully with better books:))
