I've gotten my advice on parenting down to two things: 1) feel free to ignore all the well meaning advice people give you about being a parent, and 2) put your mattress on the floor. Your baby can't fall if it's already on the floor. And you can either take that advice, or use it as practice for ignoring well meaning advice.
- sergiotapia 7y agoHad a baby a year ago, my mattress is on the floor and it really is comforting to not worry about him waking up before us and falling us. He's sneaky and doesn't really scream when he wakes up, he just explores.
