I think you've conflated online downvoting behaviours with real life social conformity pressures, each of which probably have quite different effects on the propogation/extinction of certain beliefs.
- TulliusCicero 7y agoIRL ones are probably stronger, but they still look fairly similar to me.
- madacoo 7y agoI would expect the strength of the effect is only one of many differences between the two.
