There may not be anyone in their life causing their suffering, it's actually often the opposite, there is simply no one to turn to. I also personally tend to avoid the word "usually" because being suicidal is not overwhelmingly associated with any specific situation. All kinds of people can have suicidal thoughts, and having them is not a sign that you're a good or bad person.
