I think responding to a child’s emotional needs from age 0-3 is perhaps the single most underrated thing a parent must do to ensure their kids grow up emotionally well-adjusted and capable of secure attachment. Sadly I don’t think this is widely known or taught to new parents. I fear we will see a generation of emotionally neglected children of distracted parents.
